BAUBO ADVISES THE BUDDHA

I am the reason for the peal
Of laugh that sets the
Earth to spring again.
When despair sweeps the space-
Barrenness, no song,
And suffering is all,
 I lift my skirts.
I am body- fat brown nipple eyes,
Soft belly centered nose,
Many lipped, a crimson
Part, revealing river that
Splits the meadow.
 Wantonly I raise the apron.
Cover my head. Become no
Mind. All body. To deny
Me is to deny mycelium
Voice below forest floor and
Caramel crack in Geoffrey Pine
 To deny my jiggling full
Fleshed dance will not put
End to sorrows, but to roar
With me in lavish cackle will set
The seed to spin and grow green.
