"The stage is simply set: a small rectangular spot lit table containing medicine implements and a chair draped with a fringed dancing shawl. In the darkness a woman’s voice speaks of her history. Her Christian name was Mary Poafpybitty. Her essence was however, Sanapia, Medicine Woman. Though Sanapia has passed on, her story still lives, presented to us by one woman assuming the persona of Sanapia. She is Laura Secord."
